Rotel’s latest 11.1.4 (Atmos) Processor coupled with some serious Amplification and B&W’s Latest 700 series.
This is a system designed for the connoiseur. Amazing detail, fine nuances, and grand impact are words that spring to mind after experiencing this beast of a kit.
For a dedicated cinema or larger space this system is equally at home with movie soundtracks or pure music playback.
The Rotel RSP-1576 has been custom designed and engineered for music and movie lovers alike. This Surround Sound Processor includes the latest in audio and video technology including HDMI 2.0 4K/UHD 60Hz HDR video, Audio Return Channel, aptX CD quality wireless streaming and dual Texas Instruments DSPs supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
Leveraging over 55 years of design experience the Rotel engineers designed a multi-channel preamplifier capable of decoding all popular audio formats. The 2 DSPs and array of 6 Wolfson 24-bit/192kHz audiophile grade DACs support configuration options from 5.1 to a complete Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 home theatre. There are 12 channels of RCA audio outputs for a fully customized installation.
The architecture of the RSP-1576 includes individual audio and video processing circuits with careful attention to signal routing ensuring the highest in class performance. The sonic circuits were tuned in the UK by the acoustic engineering team to further ensure the RSP-1576 accurately reproduces audio from the dynamics of blockbuster movies to the subtle nuances buried deep with an orchestral concerto.
The array of source inputs include coaxial (3), optical (3), PC-USB (24-bit/192kHz), iPod, aptX Bluetooth, RCA Analogue and Moving Magnet phono input for vinyl enthusiasts. The RSP-1576 comes replete with a full array of custom installation options include RS232 and IP control, IR remote receiver input, IR remote repeater outputs, 10 band parametric EQ for room equalization and software updates available via the front USB or over the internet. The setup menu is available on both the HDMI output and on the integrated VFD display providing easy access to all configuration options.
Supported by a full lineup of Rotel Class AB amplifiers ranging from 120 Watts to 350 Watts in 2 Chanel and 5 Channel options, the RSP-1576 is sure provide countless hours of entertainment.
The RMB-1585, Rotel’s new flagship theater amplifier, provides both the massive power and sonic sophistication required by the finest home theater systems. With five channels, each capable of producing 200 continuous Watts each into 8 ohm loads (a full kilowatt of output power!), the RMB-1585 masters any A/V system regardless of speaker load or room size.
But it isn’t just pure output power that distinguishes the RMB-1585. It’s the ability to reproduce both the dynamics of a Hollywood blockbuster and the musical nuances of acoustic instruments that sets it apart. Where does this balance come from? It’s a direct result of Rotel’s celebrated Balanced Design Concept in which circuit topology and parts selection meld in the pursuit of sonic excellence.
The RB-1552 MkII is a 130 Watt per channel class AB amplifier. It is engineered to be powerful and robust, yet able to extract every last nuance out of even the most complex musical score.
Notable features of the amplifier include independent left and right power rectification stages and decoupling. The layout is essentially a mono block design. Further evidence of design over-spec is in the selection of premium “slit-foil” capacitors, which provide plenty of reserve energy for extremely dynamic audio passages and are able to quickly replenish themselves due to the nature of their unique design. Input options are balanced XLR or unbalanced RCA connectors.
The RB-1552 MkII stereo amplifier has been engineered to provide high-resolution audio performance, yet it is very affordable, as has been the tradition with Rotel electronics for over 50 years.
B&W 702 s2 speaker System
Bowers and Wilkens new 700 Series Technology
Milled from a solid block of aluminium, the solid body tweeter housing design creates an acoustically optimised housing for the tweeter – one that’s exceptionally inert and resistant to resonances.
Carbon Dome tweeters are a brand new technology purpose-built for the 700 Series. Delivering a dramatic improvement on the aluminium double-dome tweeter, they raise the breakup threshold to 47kHz, for pinpoint imaging accuracy and detail.
First introduced with the 800 Series Diamond, the Continuum cone represents the biggest step-change in midrange performance since Kevlar. Its woven, coated material provides highly controlled break-up, resulting in a more open, neutral midrange.
The midrange driver in the floor-standers feature a decoupled design, adapted from a similar system in the 800 Series Diamond. Decoupling reduces cabinet colouration, and boosts midrange clarity.
With three dedicated Aerofoil™-Profile bass drivers and a solid body tweeter housing on top, the 702 S2 brings the goosebump-inducing clarity and detail of studio-quality sound to your home audio set-up.
This uncompromising two-way speaker reveals subtle nuances in music others miss. Its high performance features include a solid body tweeter-on-top design borrowed from the 800 Series Diamond.
Designed to be paired with larger speakers in the range, this three-way centre-channel speaker delivers unprecedented power and transparency, for totally convincing voice reproduction.
Give your home cinema set-up the bass impact it deserves with DB4S – a powerful, classically styled single driver subwoofer that’s a perfect match for the 700 Series.
